That is why drum thrones- also commonly referred to as a drum seat, drum chair, drum stool, or drum set throne- are one of the most important drum accessories.

The D1000SP Pearl drum throne is, in most respects, a very average looking model. It has a flat circular seat and three legs on the floor.

What sets it apart from other drum thrones, however, is its unique shock-absorbing suspension system, mounted just below the seat.This suspension helps alleviate pressure on the spine and reduce fatigue.

I'll admit that I haven't tried this model out myself, but, if the testimonials are true, you can play for up to 4 hours while sitting on the Pearl D-1000SP Drum Throne and your back will feel good as new afterward!

Probably Pearl's best drum throne, this model features a sloped seat designed to provide a little more comfort and cushion for those glutes, and the increasingly popular drum throne backrest to help with posture.

Maintaining good posture can aide in one's playing capabilities and longevity, and is hard to maintain over long periods of time without some form of external support.

This Pearl drum throne also comes standard with a heavy-duty height-collar mechanism to help keep you from slipping lower and lower as you play the drums.
